Hobart Guitar Lessons was started in 2005 as a private guitar teaching business by Andrew Sweeney after a number of years teaching guitar in schools and private teaching studios. The aim was:
- To provide guitar lessons that were first and foremost fun.
- To teach students the music that they wanted to learn.
- To enable guitar students to progress as quickly as possible.
- To cater for all styles, ages and levels.
The first guitar lesson is offered as a free no-obligation trial. The lessons are personalised and structured. Learn the basics or improve your existing guitar skills if you play already.
Rock, jazz, blues, metal, classical, pop, and folk guitar can all be catered for to a high standard.
Centrally located in a comfortable studio environment two minutes from the Hobart CBD with easy parking and Metro bus access.
Learn to play the guitar in the context of music that you like, whether you are just a beginner or an advanced guitarist.
Current guitar students range from primary school children to adults, and in ability from complete beginners to Conservatorium students and post-graduates.
